If no, I suggest creating one. This would provide a convenient method for tracking Gnus development. CVS' loginfo mechanism makes implementation quite easy. Here's an example (from the MAGE project, which has been dead for a long time). I've set up the mailing list, mage-cvs@mage.rulez.org and granted posting permisson only for the cvs@mage.rulez.org address (this is the account the cvs server runs at). Created the CVSROOT/users file, which contains email addresses for developers in the format cvslogin:email@address.com Then added the following to CVSROOT/loginfo: ALL (echo -e "From: $USER <`grep "^$USER:" $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/users | cut -d: -f2`>\nTo: mage-cvs@mage.rulez.org\nSubject: "%s"\nSender: cvs@mage.rulez.org\n"; cat) | /usr/sbin/sendmail -oi -oem -t -f cvs@mage.rulez.org If a listing of developers is not available, this could be modified not to use the users file but put a generic email address in the From field. On the other hand, if developers would like to see their fullname in the headers, we could make the users file look like cvslogin:Andrew U. THOR and modify the command as well: [...]echo -e "From: `grep[...]`\n[...]" Andras
