Hi,

does one of you know of the status of imap4.el and nnimap.el? In
particular, I'd be interested in the `disconnected mode of operation'
thingy. I'm not sure if that's possible with Gnus.

The last time that I looked at it, it was not very useful in a
general-pupose sense. Admittedly, that was some time ago.

I started to independently work on a similar library for fun, but have
since been sucked into a few unavoidable time-sinks. As a result, I
don't have anything usable either.

I don't think that anyone has even tried to begin implementing this
for Gnus yet. It would require significantly more synchronization
than gnus-agent is currently capable of, I think.
