Perhaps

  (nnimap "imap.uta.fi"
          (nnimap-expunge-on-close always)
          (imap-username "ssjaaa")
          (nnimap-stream ssl))

work.

Or perhaps putting

machine imap.uta.fi port imap login ssjaaaa

in ~/.authinfo work.
