I can't reproduce this, the article is removed from my summary buffer.

Hm, kill your *imap-log* buffer, enter the nnimap group, type "foo"
into the imap debug buffer, move a article to a nnml group, type "bar"
into the imap debug buffer, press 11 M-g or something, send me the
content of your *imap-log* buffer.  Thanks.  (Also set
`gnus-keep-backlog' to nil before, if you use that.)

Moving a article only set the IMAP \Deleted flag, it doesn't invoke
EXPUNGE, but Gnus shouldn't mess with already set \Deleted flags and
it should detect them (and ignore the message) when you M-g.  Hm.
