Does any writable backend depend on the Lines: header being generated by Gnus? I have disabled Lines: and GCC:ed mail to a nnml, nnfolder and nnimap and it this does not seem to cause any problems. Nnml and nnfolder adds Lines: if it does not exists, so the header do appear in GCC'd copies.
