The patch was installed.  The agent now downloads everything for me,
and things are quite snappy when data is stored locally, as expected.

A minor bug: C-u G DEL on a group doesn't seem to remove its entry
from the agent active file.  M-x gnus-agent-expire RET do discover it
and allow me to delete it though.
