IMHO mailcap application must quote things internally, and mailcap
files should not quote things. The Debian approach doesn't work when
the filename contains '.
FWIW, I like the patch.
[1] Which package creates mailcap, btw? dpkg isn't very helpful (the
file exists of course, and I didn't create it):

dpkg: /etc/mailcap not found.
