Maybe when all this is finished would be a good time to release a new Gnus 5.10 version from the v5-10 branch? According to 'cvs diff -r v5-10-6 -r v5-10' there seem to be enough changes to motivate a new release... That is, assuming everything on v5-10, not already in v5-10-6, is in a releasable shape; I suspect not many people punch daily on the v5-10 branch?
