I have 80MB of mail indexed with glimpse, and searches take <1 second (on an 4 year old machine, at that.) Try building a bigger index than the default 'tiny' 2-3% sized index. (I use 'small' (5-10%), which the -o option to glimpseindex enables, I think, and there's also 'medium' (20-30%) which is preusmably even faster. -matt -- Matt Pharr mmp@graphics.stanford.edu
