Subject: My gnus won't tell me where it's putting my mail
Date: 18 Sep 2000 10:08:49 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <kh7ya0pu70u.fsf@acme47.nineco.com> (raw)

I just changed ISP's, and decided to put nnml as the primary server
and not list the news server at all except in the server buffer. This
was because the news server was down for several hours, and it was
being a pain to have to ^C out of the news checking to get the mail.

I believe the problem I describe below actually started while the news
was down, and before I changed the .gnus.el to make nnml the primary
server.

Now, when I get mail, gnus puts it into the appropriate folders, but
doesn't display the number of unread messages in the folders, and when
I find them using j in the summary buffer, they aren't sorted right.

How do I fix this? I'm using yesterday afternoon's cvs. (That is, it
happened from a less recent CVS, and I upgraded after it happened to
see if it would help, and it didn't.)
