Yes; that's exactly what I wanted, thanks.

No.  `i' with an argument prompts you for MIME type.  When you enter a 
textual type, you can easily add `;charset=CHARSET'.

This assumes a MIME-aware message, which we don't have right now.  I
think the e-with-argument thing can wait.
