Oooh, yeah. I have the latest version, as I just did some work on
it. I'll put it up somewhere. The nndb.el that ships with Gnus
doesn't work with the nndb that I have. The nndb tarball contains a
working version, however.
Btw, nndb is a sort of a personal NNTP server written in perl. It
supports a number of unofficial NNTP extensions that allow it to
operate effectively on mail. There has been a non-functional (at
least with my version of nndb) Gnus backend for it shipping since
September Gnus, I think.
In any case, it was written to make reading mail with Gnus faster, yet
still reliable. It supports command extensions that allow for the
posting, splitting, deletion, copying, and (now) expiry of mail on the
server itself.
New is 0.15 is server side expiry.
