'n'ext group doesn't work with 20030102 cvs up

As of this morning's cvs up, I can not 'n' to the next unread
group.  I get

   Wrong number of arguments: gnus-read-event-char, 1

Are you sure you're picking up the gnus-util file from the CVS?  Do a
`M-x locate-library RET gnus-util RET' and see what it says...

I cvs up every few days in .../site-lisp/gnus and then run

   make clean && sh CONFIGURE && make

Where

   ,----[ CONFIGURE ]
   | #!/bin/sh
   | 
   | ./configure \
   |     --with-xemacs
   `----

That's Solaris' make, BTW, but that shouldn't matter since
everything compiled.

I've never had even the slightest problem running Oort after a
couple months until today.

Hm...  Ah, there was an XEmacs version of the function as well.

I updated a few minutes ago and still get the error.  Is anyone
else using XEmacs 21.4.x having this problem?

OK, I finally removed the whole Gnus directory tree and rebuilt
everything from a fresh checkout and things are working smoothly.
