In the hierarchy I am most active in you get frowned/flamed at for HTML-multiparts or similar stuff. I never saw a complaint about message/rfc822 parts or multipart/signed articles. IMHO most neat would be a kind of compromise: make the MIME forward almost indifferent to a "normal" forward, by setting the part-delimiter to "----cut-here----" and similar things.
