Subject: Have `use-long-file-names' and `compress' as a server parameter?

Hi!

Wouldn't that be a good idea? I just converted my mail stuff from
nnfolder to nnml but I want to keep the archived mail in gzipped
nnfolder format. I definitely do not want long file names for nnml
(for various reasons) but need them for nnfolder zipping to work.

And it would be even more cool to have a server parameter for
forcing compressed storage of all messages.

See this article for nnml gzipped storage:

Difficult?

Cheers, Ray
