Thanks ... that's good to know.

Still, however, I prefer the CVS version.  Can I uninstall gnus-1.45
and still have the CVS version compile?  [I'd normally use the empirical
method and just try it, but it takes so long with my slow internet
connection to re-install XEmacs packages, that I'm trying to get
at least a somewhat warm-and-fuzzy feeling about uninstalling
gnus-1.45 before I actually do so.]
