In which case you're gnus wouldn't try and go get it, and you've saved
the bandwidth difference between actually sending an image and sending
the image's location. 

Seems cruel, but I can see both sides of the argument. Personally I like
the way X-Face:s are included in the message since I don't really want
Gnus to go and get an image off the web everytime I open a message, but
I can also see how it would be nice in some cases.
