Subject: sgnus 0.73 won't byte-compile

Basically, I get loads off errors when i try make, all of the same type:

While compiling toplevel forms in file /u1/cs4/ceejok/sgnus-0.73/lisp/gnus-cache.el:
  !! Invalid read syntax (("#"))
