...and via the environment variable MHCONTEXT (I use that one in some utility
scripts, background daemons & such to avoid getting in the way of my normal,
interactive sessions).

Any idea if there's any existing elisp code to put an API over MH sequence
manipulations?  I suppose mh-e probably uses external MH commands...any others
whose code could be "leveraged"?
