Subject: problem saving a part to a file
Date: 21 Jun 1999 09:38:12 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m1byahdu117.fsf@blackbird.mitre.org> (raw)
Sometimes, if I try to save a part to a file in pgnus 0.88, I get a
void variable error on buffer-file-coding-system. This only happens
if I try to do it before ever composing a message. Something in
message.el is defining buffer-file-coding-system (it's not at all
clear to me where unfortunately) but it's needed before that. My
simplistic fix was to add a defvar of buffer-file-coding-system, which
is apparently OK as nil in my non-mule XEmacs, to my gnus-startup-hook.
I don't believe I had this problem prior to 0.88, but I'm not certain.
