Subject: Undownloaded messages continue to show up
Date: Fri, 15 Mar 2002 08:51:38 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m1it7xg4f9.fsf@reader.newsguy.com> (raw)
I still don't understand what is supposed to be gained by having these
messages show up in groups:
1R 31-Dec [ 0: Gnus Agent ] [Undownloaded article 41566]
1R 31-Dec [ 0: Gnus Agent ] [Undownloaded article 41567]
1R 31-Dec [ 0: Gnus Agent ] [Undownloaded article 41568]
Each if these is an actual message that can be viewed (while offline)
with the normal <RET>. But they have this useless information in the
place of usable headers.
Not sure what is causing this but I keep seeing a few of these show up
periodically. I press J j then download them with Ju but the summary
line still looks like above. They start out with @ preceeding them
and end up like above.
Seems to be happening a lot today. Maybe related to news.gmane being
unreachable so my downloads are messed up from my regular server too,
when gmane holds things up.
Maybe I should take gmane out of the play for now, by setting all
groups above the gnus-agent-activate level?
But still something is confusing about what is intended with the
undownloaded summary lines.
