* Follup gets the wrong message to follow.

This has happened to me twice recently.

I select a section from a mail message, then press F

I get a message-mode buffer with that section yanked into it.  All
cool and good.  Make my comments and C-c C-c

Next thing I see my message appear on a mail list but it is on a
completely different thread than it should be.

It appears as a reply to someting completely different and the message
I sent, now contains a Reference to this different message rather than
the one yanked into it.

I've inlined full header from both messages.

The first is the message I was trying to reply to
The second is my replay as it appeared on the group.

This is the message I had in article buffer when I pressed F
(Sorry about the full headers, but wasn't sure what might be relevant)

      shocked....  The fix in this case is to manually delete the
      offending mail.  If you don't have shell access to the mail server
      (as the admin, I.... ;-), you'll have to scrap together enough
      info on the POP mail protocol to list and delete messages.  I've

You can get quick example dialog for telnetting to lots of things by
typing This into a google search box:
"I sit in siberia"
