I guess it must be since trying these from the command line works:
glimpse-m -G -F ding2 'Subject:.*queries'
glimpse-m -G -F ding2 'Subject:#queries'
Which is news to me, and a usefull thing to know.

Not sure what all this means but it sounds very stealthy, gnus must be
a wise application to have spotted the ruse...
