On Mac OS X 10.5, due to a pre-set DISPLAY variable (see
http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=80171) the `w3m' command
locks on startup in many cases (for me, every time).

The solution for me has been to do

(setenv "DISPLAY" nil)

before loading w3m.el. Maybe this can be in w3m.el itself,
conditionally on Mac OS X 10.5 only. I can help with the fix if it's
deemed appropriate.

Apologies to the w3m mailing list if this is a known problem, but I
couldn't look at their archive and I'm not a member of the list. Please
CC me on followups.

I am also sending to the Ding mailing list because I know many users use
w3m for viewing inline HTML.

Ted
