Hmm, the announce of 0.84 is one of the last messages on this list,
wonder if there were some weird bug in 0.84 that stopped people from
mailing or reading this list???

Yeah, the weird "bug" may be large number of convocations/commencements
and/or start of summer breaks at North American schools!

There have been 3 linux kernels released since then, at least one of
which is broken :-(.  tm7.59 was released, it is broken :-(.  Sprint
has choking and killing major pieces of the US Internet :-(.

September Gnus v0.84, however, is as good as September Gnus has ever
been.  :-)
