Subject: Setting Variables in Group parameters
Date: 29 Sep 1999 16:59:10 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <m2btalmo2p.prohibitory@bethe.phy.ornl.gov> (raw)

For a particular group, I want to have the backend's article number in
the summary line, so I put the point over the group name in the *Group*
buffer and press 'G c' to customize the group properties. I go down to
'Variables' so that I can set the variable gnus-summary-line-format, and
enter the following:

Variables:
Set variables local to the group you are entering. [More]
[INS] [DEL] Variable: gnus-summary-line-format
            Value: "%U%R[%N]%z%I%(%[%4L: %-20,20n%]%) %s"
[INS]

and click on done up at the top.

Does this look right? It doesn't do what I want...
