While I was writing a message, my ISP hung up on my. In the message buffer, I called M-x gnus-close-all-servers and sent my message. Returning to the summary buffer, however, I was still unable to read other posts. I had to call M-x gnus-close-all-servers *again*. From then on, no more problems. Is server 'openness' something buffer local? Alex. -- http://www.geocities.com/kensanata/emacs.html "Emacs 21 will be out when it comes out. No beta available."
