I kinda wanted to call the Gnus version after the next version
"Millennium Gnus" to celebrate that in 1998 it's been a thousand years
since a thousand years ago. (Gee!) But "Millennium Gnus" would be
"mgnus", which is the same as "Mamey Sapote Gnus", which means that
the latter goes out the window. Which brings us back to "q". Was
"Quince Gnus" the best we could come up with? (Oooh, I'm having
visions of Jack Klugman. *Not* pretty.)

By the way -- the total length of the ChangeLogs is now ~570kB. Soon
(FSVO "soon") the ChangeLog will be longer than Gnus! Ick!

Q is good; it conjures up nice Star Trek images. I suppose, "Quaint"
is out, but how about, "Quintessential?" :)

I think so, yes. I also suggested Quassia Gnus, but technically a
quassia is a tree, not a fruit.

Also, does this mean we get three more version before Millennium Gnus
([nop]gnus)? Hmm, Nop Gnus, well, never mind. Does *sound* nice,
though.

Well... the next one after mgnus, almost gives itself... ngnus for
Nostradamus Gnus... (all this talk about some Millennium or other,
y'know!).

Nah! Dammit! That one was already used by November Gnus. This sucks!
:-(

Hm... nognus, maybe...?

If not millenium, how about "Epoch Gnus"? I don't think there has
been an egnus.

I think that this could be confused with an old version of Gnus that ran
on pre-Lucid Emacs.

Also, this is out of alphabetical order (though we can use it two
versions after Gosling Gnus).

"Extinct wild ass" _does_ have a certain sound to it.

On reading this, I'd like to withdraw Quinoa (although I do love the
look of the word). Long Live Quassia

Whoops... Ailanthus? Isn't that the tree/weed that grew in Brooklyn?

Ooo, that is nice. That would mean giving up on the fruit
theme.

Well, if we were stuck with `Q' as the first letter and fruit being the theme.
How about `Quentin Crisp Gnus'

I like what it means, but I think "Quagga Gnus" looks extremely ugly.
And I don't want to give upon the fruit theme. "Quassia" looks nice,
but "Quinoa" sounds better... I think.
