Hi

Using GNU emacs 25.1.5 and Ma Gnus v.016.

I have difficulties with emails sent by Gmail's web interface, if the rich
text option is activated.

In that case quoted text is just indented but has no quotation mark,
such as ">", which is quite annoying.

Is there any way gnus could deal with these message or have I to ask the
person in question to use the plain text format?

thanks

Uwe Brauer

Ok, for some reason I set mm-discouraged-alternatives from
'("text/html" "text/richtext") to nil, which caused the problem I
      described.

Setting it back resolved the problem. Sorry for the noise.

Uwe

I've been struggling with this a bit, too. I get plenty of messages
that look best rendered as HTML, except that the citations aren't
clearly marked, and overquoting—which is all too common—isn't collapsed.
Is there any mechanism for pre- (or post-) processing what gets sent to
shr for rendering?
