Yup.  XEmacs command line processing needs some work.  Try brute
forcing it with the attached files, and calling them:

xemacs -batch -l xemacs-hack-gnusman.el
xemacs -batch -l xemacs-hack-messageman.el

[It's not pretty but it seems to work]
