Subject: Latest CVS Gnus problem
Date: Mon, 01 Dec 2003 21:09:13 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m2y8twheh2.fsf@db.cs.hit.edu.cn> (raw)
When I start Gnus, all groups with gb2312 chinese group name don't auto
update in group buffer. All these lines display an "*" before the ":",
just as Gnus can't open the server. But with M-g, each of them can be
refresh correctly.
I have set the charset as the following:
(setq gnus-default-charset 'cn-gb-2312
gnus-group-name-charset-group-alist '((".*" . cn-gb-2312))
gnus-summary-show-article-charset-alist '((1 . cn-gb-2312) (2 . big5))
gnus-newsgroup-ignored-charsets '(unknown-8bit x-unknown iso-8859-1))
A server with gb2312 chinese group name:
news://news.newsfan.net
BTW: How can I remove the undownloaded faces in summary buffer?
