Does anyone remember "The Great Space Coaster"?  A children's
television show with puppets from the 80's.  

It featured characters like Eddie the Elephant, Goriddle Gorilla, and
... Gary Gnu, who was a news presenter -- he'd always say stuff like:
"No g-news is good g-news". [1]
