Hello,

I tried to fetch articles from the group buffer using 'J s' and
after several minutes, I got this back trace:

What can I do to "increase" this buffer maximum size stuff ?

As you're already using Emacs 22, the built-in maximum buffer size is
256MB (or so), so there's not much that can be done about that...
