Subject: problem with using mail-extract-address-components
Date: Thu, 11 Jul 2002 21:35:54 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m38z4hhdv9.fsf@ns.bagley.org> (raw)
Greetings,
While reading an article in a group, I encountered a "Wrong type
argument: integer-or-marker-p, nil" error. I traced the error
signal down to mail-extract-address-components being called with
questionable input in mm-decode. The problem was a from address of
"%@&%", as in the following form:
(mail-extract-address-components "%@&%")
Maybe all the calls to mail-extract-address-components should be
wrapped in a condition-case or whatever would be appropriate for
catching this error?
(gnus-version) -> "Oort Gnus v0.06"
(emacs-version) -> "XEmacs 21.4 (patch 8) ..."
thanks,
doug
