A few days ago, somebody reported in a German newsgroup that he couldn't automatically display a mail with a correctly declared Content-Type: text/html. I told him that I've never had any problems with this. Well, I now ran into the same problem. I got two HTML mails (no multipart, SPAM of course). The first displays fine, the second doesn't and appears as HTML source. Looking at the MIME headers, I can't figure what causes this behaviour. When saving the HTML content in an extra file, W3 mode displays both mails as expected. Here is the second (incorrectley displayed) mail: --=-=-= Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline X-From-Line: rscholz@Informatik.Uni-Bremen.DE Tue Jan 18 14:44:41 2000 Received: from localhost (root@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mde1.home (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id OAA00800 for ; Tue, 18 Jan 2000 14:44:41 +0100 Received: from mail.dusnet.de by localhost with POP3 (fetchmail-5.2.0) for rscholz@localhost (single-drop); Tue, 18 Jan 2000 14:44:41 +0100 (CET) Received: from bettina.informatik.uni-bremen.de (rscholz@bettina.informatik.uni-bremen.de [134.102.224.3]) by mail.dusnet.de (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id FAA00366 for ; Tue, 18 Jan 2000 05:52:31 +0100 Received: (from rscholz@localhost) by bettina.informatik.uni-bremen.de (8.8.7/8.8.7) id FAA28701 for rscholz@dusnet.de; Tue, 18 Jan 2000 05:52:23 +0100 (MET) Received: from vhost2 (vhost2.systemv.com [206.214.38.10]) by bettina.informatik.uni-bremen.de (8.8.7/8.8.7) with SMTP id FAA28653; Tue, 18 Jan 2000 05:51:38 +0100 (MET) Received: from 02-086.033.popsite.net by vhost2 (5.x/SMI-SVR4) id AB08601; Mon, 17 Jan 2000 20:57:35 -0800 Subject: Earn 100K Plus a year! -aixnyg Reply-To: datsmyne008@yahoo.com From: wampun@necs.postmaster.co.uk Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2000 23:58:23 -0500 X-Gnus-Mail-Source: file:/var/spool/mail/rscholz Message-Id: To: @informatik.uni-bremen.de@vhost2.systemv.com Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7BIT X-UIDL: ca629e293b81b3df6b0f77400e797bb9 Lines: 73 Xref: mde1.home mail.spam:16 X-Gnus-Article-Number: 16 Tue Jan 18 14:53:58 2000 ..
