I think there are basically two functions that people want to have.

  1) Persistent articles
     These are articles that are important for people,
     and they want them to remain there forever.

  2) A cache
     These are articles that are stored locally to make
     Gnus work faster, or work when not connected to
     the net.

So I think that the cache should be renamed and do its persistent
article thing, and the cache should be moved to the Agent, which
should be more aggressive.

pretty.)
