When I press the right mouse button over the button, and select save, the chooser window starts to come up, but before the prompt appears, both the chooser window and the xemacs window completely disappear. There is no core in the directory from which I started xemacs, and no lisp backtrace in the window from which I started xemacs. One of the two times this happened, the window from which I started xemacs was in a state where text did not appear, and non-text characters were gibberish, and neither 'reset' nor 'stty sane' restored it to a reasonable state. I wrote the message on my system at work, which is running xemacs 21.x with current (as of early afternoon today) pgnus from cvs, and am attempting to read it on my home system, which is xemacs 20.4 with pgnus 0.98. I have seen this behavior once before, but that time was unable to reproduce it. (That is, it happened only once, and not twice.) --==-=-= Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline X-From-Line: lconrad@gamesville.com Fri Nov 19 18:38:43 1999 Return-Path: Delivered-To: lconrad@localhost.serpent.local Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by serpent.local (Postfix) with ESMTP id 71F7E2CEFC for ; Fri, 19 Nov 1999 18:38:43 -0500 (EST) Received: from world.std.com by localhost with POP3 (fetchmail-5.0.3) for lconrad@localhost (single-drop); Fri, 19 Nov 1999 18:38:43 -0500 (EST) Received: from gamesville.com (gtw.nineco.com [206.166.153.130]) by world.std.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id PAA10065 for ; Fri, 19 Nov 1999 15:17:48 -0500 (EST) Received: from acme47.nineco.com (IDENT:lconrad@acme47.nineCo.com [192.168.0.54]) by gamesville.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id PAA02525; Fri, 19 Nov 1999 15:17:41 -0500 Sender: lconrad@acme47.nineCo.com To: Ken Jucks Cc: lconrad@world.std.com Reply-To: lconrad@world.std.com Subject: Re: brewprint call References: <199911121358.IAA06340@firs3.harvard.edu> X-Face: #0j-Ll[fajrfupWYMv&wa\m7!Sh=&3;JE-_&M-L,ULz(aE8iu%m1SHa5wG.V{3B:Fdnd/T# O -}0pPGYw%t1z`o&T_c=)p8l[}7R\={[@B*Jyj*.L4 hnJ*AXb From: Laura Conrad Date: 19 Nov 1999 15:17:46 -0500 In-Reply-To: Ken Jucks's message of "Fri, 12 Nov 1999 08:58:40 -0500 (EST)" X-Gnus-Mail-Source: file:/var/spool/mail/lconrad Message-ID: User-Agent: Gnus/5.070099 (Pterodactyl Gnus v0.99) XEmacs/21.1 (20 Minutes to Nikko) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="=-=-=" X-UIDL: 79f879beeb4cfa679ed3a451896dc7ff Lines: 98 Xref: serpent.local world:2609 --=-=-= Ken, here's the agenda.
