Subject: secondary NNTP connections hanging
Date: 21 Sep 1999 20:29:06 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m3aeqfwzzh.fsf@mediaone.net> (raw)
Hi
One of the things I use gnus for is to read news on secondary
servers. These servers don't require me to log in, but when I check
for new news, I notice the connection just hangs on these secondary
servers [opera/freshmeat].
If I kill that process [C-g] and then get again [g], I am able to get
the news OK. But I keep thinking there must be some variable that I
can set to enable gnus to "do the right thing" with these servers.
I've looked through the manual to no avail. Hints, pointers, and
commentary are all welcome.
