Hi
One of the things I use gnus for is to read news on secondary
servers. These servers don't require me to log in, but when I check
for new news, I notice the connection just hangs on these secondary
servers [opera/freshmeat].
If I kill that process [C-g] and then get again [g], I am able to get
the news OK. But I keep thinking there must be some variable that I
can set to enable gnus to "do the right thing" with these servers.
I've looked through the manual to no avail. Hints, pointers, and
commentary are all welcome.

That's definitely a bug. I'm now subscribed to the freshmeat and php
groups, and am letting them time out and stuff, but I'm unable to
reproduce the bug. `M-g' on these group seem to always reconnect
successfully.
