I've never tried killing the *Article* buffer. (Does quitting Gnus do that?) The problem is I don't know how to reproduce this, though I see it often enough to tear my hair out. This is peculiar to Oort and the beta Xemacsen that I've been using. It never happened with 5.8.8 and XEmacs 21.1.12. -- Nevin
