I'd like to see some .cvsignore files in the repository just to get
the fresh clean feeling when doing an update.

Something like to following that I put in my texi subdirectory:

[-- Attachment #2: .cvsignore for texi directory --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 45 bytes --]

Makefile
emacs-mime
gnus
gnus-[0-9]*
message

[-- Attachment #3: Type: text/plain, Size: 26 bytes --]

What do you think?

Lee.

So these .cvsignore files would be checked into the cvs repository?
(I'm not familiar with how those work...)

Yup, the Emacs/W3 one looks like:

Makefile
w3-cfg.el
w3-auto.el
custom-load.el
auto-autoloads.el
*.elc
config.log
config.cache
config.status

and 'cvs update' is nice and quiet. :)

Okidoke; the .cvsignore files are now checked in.
