I've read the documentation, and I think the following is happening:
mm-inline-media-tests says that text/* *can* be displayed inline.
mm-inlined-types says that text/* *should* be displayed inline. And
mm-automatic-display says that text/x-patch *should not* be displayed
automatically.
Urr. Uhm. No, I don't understand. There's a bug in the clicker
code. Fix in Pterodactyl Gnus v0.97.
