Well, some people on this ding list are reporting that the summary buffer lines up correctly. Then, my messed-up summary buffer is due to my wrong .gnus. Because I'm poor at lisp and just started using gnus about two months ago, I'm now sure I can find what's wrong with my .gnus. Anyway I'll try to find out.
