I have just manually deleted a bunch of messages in an nnml
directory and can't seem to get gnus to remove the overview entries.
The group has 0 messages, but upon entry, gnus tries to grab 888
headers from the overview. I've tried nnml-generate-nov-database, but
to no avail. Any hints?
					Thanks.

This has probably nothing to do with overview. Instead, it has to do
with the active file, which sounds like it is too wide. If you put an
article into one of these groups, it should clear itself up, though.

Yes, that does indeed fix it. Is there any chance of adding a
nnml-regenerate-active function?
						Thanks.

Reality is only an approximation to theory.

The active file is regenerated when regenerating the overview file.
But it doesn't do anything to groups that are empty. Hm. Perhaps it
could just set the lower bound to 1+ the upper bound. Yes, that would
work. Fix in Quassia Gnus v0.22.
