Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.2106.4 creates the following ugliness
	html;charset=iso-8859-1 http-equiv=Content-Type>
when decoding and displaying text/html parts in pgnus-0.69. The
reason for this ugliness is the following at the start of the HTML part:
	<META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 =
	http-equiv=3DContent-Type>

I assume the problem is caused by the unquoted element attributes of
the <META> tag...?

I think I remember larsi and Bill Perry discussing this some time
before X-mas, and I'm sort of wondering what the conclusion was...?

Since this broken behaviour of MSOutlook Express is probably
completely in line with Microsoft's strategy of subverting existing
internet standards,
	<URL:http://www.opensource.org/halloween1.html#quote9>
we cannot expect to see this behaviour change and
we can expect to see more traffic display this broken behaviour.

Bill made the latest w3 parse the broken HTML generated by Outlook, so
if you install the latest w3, even these messages will look purdy in
Gnus.

I actually think this is plain ol' stupidity in full effect. Do you
think that the lifeform responsible for such output has even read the
SGML standard, let alone understood it?

So, I guess we have to be liberal again.
