The last time I tried to rid myself of a foreign NNTP server I first
did what I belived was deleting all groups on the server. However
Gnus still insisted on looking for new articles on this server, so I
went through several cycles of killing all zombie groups and then
killing all groups on misc. levels until I finally was rid of all
groups on the foreign server.
I'm now in the process of removing all groups on news.vmware.com, and
I'm wondering if
Groups->Foreign groups->Delete group
or
G DEL
on a group in pgnus v0.84, will eradicate the group or move it to a
different level? And if so: what level? And if so: does that level
have a bigger numerical value than the limit for zombie groups?
Thanx!

It completely annihilates the group. No mercy.
