Hello,

I'm rather new to Gnus, and I have a problem with metamail.
If I do, e.g

M-x gnus-summary-toggle-mime

then I get (from Recent Messages):

Wrong type argument: number-or-marker-p, nil

debug says:

I'm using XEmacs 19.16, Gnus v5.4.37; nntp 5.0; nnml 1.0, FWIW.
Metamail is v1.1, 1993/12/01

Can anyone help?

TIA,
   Colin

The message says that the program `metamail' can't be found. Install
the Metamail package and make sure that the program `metamail' is on
your $PATH.

This must mean that you don't have "metamail" in your path.

Ah, okay, metamail is an external program. Sorry for my ignorance.

Cheers,
   Colin
