Mine was 7.8 megs. Thanks for pointing this out. I've done some testing and I've found out that .newsrc.eld grows each time you quit GNUS, so expect .newsrc.eld to become huge again... The ugly thing about deleting .newsrc.eld is that it nukes all your foreign groups :-( -t
