Ok; done.  The likelihood that I've nuked some valid messages is quite
high, but I don't think it's a lot of messages.

From having 15K messages unread, the group now has 400 unread
messages.  That means that I've cancelled 14.6K messages.  :-)

(I've cancelled all the spam in gnu.emacs.gnus from the last year as
well.)
