Hi,

I'm doing some cleaning work in Gnus this days. I hope I did not break
anything so far. A lot of code seems old and it seems quite clear to me
that for the last decade more code has been added like lasagna other old
code.

I'm planning to slowly rework some stuff, but for now I'm still cleaning
things I think that are odd. Gnus is became more than a Usenet client,
everybody using it for e-mails too now.

That being said, I was wondering if
gnus-backup-default-subscribed-newsgroups and the code depending on it
should be a candidate for removal? I see little interest in that
feature, and it has absolutely no interest for mails users.

WDYT?
